Korean Dance Studies Society of Canada–professional training program auditions

NEW! Soo Ryu School of Dance & Drum Scholarship Program

To encourage the development of Korean dance in Canada and to provide equal access to professional dance training, artistic director Mi Young Kim has founded a new scholarship program for young people.

Up to five promising students between the age of 17 and 25 will be selected through audition on July 8. The winners will have one year of training free of charge, starting this summer at our intensive class, the Original Sogo Chum (Small Hand–Held Drum Dance).

Requirement: Young men and women between the age of 17 and 25 with minimum 3 years of dance training.

Procedures: Send a letter of interest and biography to kdance@koreandance.net by July 4. Audition takes place on at 7pm on July 8 at the studio of the Korean Cultural Centre (1133 Leslie Street, Toronto). Winners will be contacted within a week.

Professional Training Program Audition 2011

To enter our apprenticeship program, candidates must be at least 17 years of age or of mature student status, with minimum 2 years of serious study in dance. Knowledge of Korean dance and music is an asset.

Time: 6:00pm, July 8, 2011.

Location: Studio, Korean–Canadian Cultural Association (1133 Leslie St., Toronto)
