French choreographers Alban Richard and Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh are in Toronto right now, working at full throttle with the TDT dancers. The Paris/Toronto Project is going to be very exciting!

We are taking full advantage of their presence in the city by hosting a variety of discussions and workshops in addition to presenting their new works.

Dancing Perspectives in France by Philip Szporer
Monday, May 16 * 7:00pm * Free
Philip Szporer discusses dance in France today followed by a conversation with choreographers Alban Richard and Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh. Philip Szporer is a professor at Concordia University, Scholar-in-Residence at Jacob’s Pillow, journalist, and filmmaker.

Classes/Workshops
Choreographic workshop with Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh on May 8th from 3pm-6pm ($20). Registration ends Friday.

Micheline Lelievre, rehearsal director to Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh in France, teaches morning class with roots in the technique of Merce Cunningham and a unique somatic focus – May 9-13 ($10).
