Discover and notice the use of weight and momentum as well as clear and healthy alignment…
Movement Research Drop-in Classes
Wednesdays, May 11th to 25th, 10:00am to 11:30am
Location: Downward Dog Ashtanga Yoga Centre, 735 Queen Street W, Toronto, ON

Starting with wave patterns of the spine as a way of instigating movement and opening up the body, we will explore how to move through space with ease.

Through these explorations we will discover and notice the use of weight and momentum as well as clear and healthy alignment. By respecting the limitations presented by the anatomical structures of our bodies we will begin to research the range of it’s dynamic capabilities. These investigations will take us into and out of the floor with both set and improvised movement material.

This class is open to movers of all levels of experience. Long sleeves encouraged.

Eroca’s movement background is diverse. Always an avid mover, she came to dancing first through folkloric Haitian dance, then trained in modern and contemporary including contact improvisation and released-based forms. Her recent training and research has been heavily influenced by her study of the Axis Syllabus.

Regular class fees apply! — (Note the student and teacher rates!)
