The School of Toronto Dance Theatre presents MOMENTUM 2011

In Events on April 5, 2011 by danceumbrella

TORONTO, ON – The School of Toronto Dance Theatre presents its end of year performance, showcasing dancers from all three years of the Professional Training Program.

Our first year class will dance in an exhilarating new creation by Julia Sasso, and an intricate and provocative new work by Darryl Tracy. Second year students will address perceptions of “happiness” in a physically challenging new commission by William Yong. They will also be performing in a stirring and transformative new work by Gerry Trentham, in which they will create their own vocal score. Finally, our graduating class will remount Christopher House’s Four Towers – his lyrical classic from 1993 – and present a provocative new creation by Sasha Ivanochko, who recently won our Kathryn Ash Choreographic Commission.

MOMENTUM 2011 is your chance to see tomorrow’s contemporary dancers today.
