We are inviting you to take part in a session that will inform you on how to utilize the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) and its programs to advance your activities as a dance professional.

Time: Tuesday, March 22 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Location: Ontario Arts Council, 151 Bloor Street West, 5th Floor, Room 2, Toronto, ON

dance Immersion will be hosting the 24th annual International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) Conference in January 2012 in Toronto. The IABD Conference has become the convergence of ideas and interaction for the dance community, with a focus on Blacks in Dance. This conference offers many opportunities that will nourish, inspire and build relationships with international dance counterparts. One of our objectives for 2012 is to mark the 24th conference with a Canadian imprint. We can only do so with the involvement of more Canadians in all aspects of this conference.

The OAC˙s Access and Career Development program supports such activities as conference registration among other things. Bushra Junaid, Access and Career Development Program Officer and Myles Warren, Dance Officer will conduct this session informing you on how you can take advantage of different programs to enhance your career.

Conference early bird registration will begin soon and we would like for you to take advantage of this funding opportunity available to individuals to attend the 24th Annual IABD 2012 Conference in Toronto.

Deadline for the Access and Career Development grant is May 2, 2011. You can find more information on the OAC website (link as follows):

*** You MUST register for this session with Claudia Araya the Conference Coordinator at 416-203-0666 or no later than March 18, 2011 ***
