ONTARIO DANCES Ontario Dance Platform 2010 is a new initiative of Ontario Arts Council’s 3-year pilot program – ONTARIO DANCES. ONTARIO DANCES is a three-year pilot project (2008-2011) to strengthen and develop the presentation of dance in Ontario. Funded by the Ontario Arts Council (OAC), the initiative aims to increase the range and diversity of dance that is available to communities across Ontario. The program builds capacity for dance arts presenters, dance artists and dance organizations and also fosters audience development. In short, it provides a greater number of Ontarians with access, and engagement in dance of all kinds.

OAC is coordinating the pilot in partnership with seven multi-disciplinary arts presenters from across Ontario: Brock Centre for the Arts, Brock University (St. Catharines); Capitol Centre (North Bay); Kiwanis Theatre, Chatham Cultural Centre (Chatham); Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts (Oakville); Orillia Opera House (Orillia); River Run Centre (Guelph) and Waterloo Dance Projects (Kitchener). ONTARIO DANCES is administered by CCI Ontario Presenting Network.
